Juliette Gréco’s Wedding Gift

Muse of Saint-Germain-des-Prés, indomitable enchantress, free and avant-garde woman, Juliette Gréco, with her inimitable voice, continuous curiosity, and unalterable talent, has accompanied our lives.

On June 25, 1953, Foujita was invited to her wedding with actor Philippe Lemaire.

He offered her a highly elegant brush-and-ink drawing; it was recently put up for sale by auctioneers Crait and Müller at Hôtel Drouot (Paris) on Thursday, November 18, 2021, as part of the singer’s estate.
