Following “Romantic Paris (1815-1858)” and “Paris 1900, the Spectacle City,” the Petit Palais dedicates the final part of its trilogy to “(The) Paris of Modernity (1905-1925)” from November 14, 2023 to April 14, 2024: an interesting and very comprehensive exhibition that pays tribute to the protagonists of Modernity in Paris, the world center of all arts, across various fields of artistic creation.


Fashion, cinema, photography, painting, sculpture, drawing, dance, design, architecture, and industry are at the heart of Modernity.

These men and women, who are its authors and inventors, are French or foreign, coming from all over the world to settle and work in Paris, in Montparnasse, Montmartre, and wherever it was possible to create, invent, innovate, and realize their dreams; they are called Foujita, Soutine, Modigliani, Pascin, Delaunay, Léger, Picasso, Marie Laurencin, Marie Vassilieff, Marevna, Marval, Chana Orloff… The poetic, innovative, and revolutionary spirit that inhabits each of their actions speaks for them today, proclaims the modern spirit, and encourages us to elevate them as models.
