Catalogue raisonné
The General Catalogue Raisonné of Léonard Foujita's Work is the reference work for owners of private and public collections and for participants in the French and international art market.
Rigorous Scientific Work
Its compilation began in 1980. In 1987, the publication of a first Volume by ACR Éditions in Paris was signed by Sylvie Buisson and Dominique Buisson. The second volume was published in 2001 by Sylvie Buisson, who had continued its compilation alone since 1989. She pursued her research and official expertise on Foujita, which led six years later to the third volume of the Catalogue in 2007. Since then, she has been joined by her son Casimir Buisson, a historian and painting restorer, who will compile the fourth volume, currently in progress.
Since 2005, Arthur Buisson, artistic director and graphic designer, has managed the visuals of the artistic archives for the General Catalogue Raisonné and contributes to the clarity and presentation of the works within the Catalogue.
The result of over forty years of research, these works document the artist’s output, estimated at more than 5,000 pieces.
