Casimir and I had the pleasure of discovering, studying, and confirming the authenticity of a gouache of great delicacy and exceptional sensitivity, dedicated by Foujita in 1950 to the son of his principal dealer, Paul P\u00e9trid\u00e8s, Gilbert P\u00e9trid\u00e8s.<\/p>\n

The child was only three years old when his father compiled a “Golden Book” for him, which he had illustrated by the gallery\u2019s artists, notably Marie Laurencin, Utrillo, and… Foujita.<\/p>\n

Gilbert P\u00e9trid\u00e8s passed away on August 23, 2012, after a long illness.<\/p>\n
